I had heard that there were several South Philly taquerias that had to disguise themselves as pizzerias for some reason.
The chicken nachos had tortilla chips loaded with melted Jack and cheddar cheese topped with pico de gallo, sour cream, jalapenos and black beans. And some pickled carrots, which were a first.
Let me say that Rosario’s is takeout/delivery only, and that’s going to hurt 90% of nachos, which are meant to be consumed right out of the oven. Take a look at their chicken mole pizza.
This was really good, and I think that any repeat trip to Rosario’s is going to be pizza only. There’s a pastor and a tinga pollo pizza that I had my eye on.
The nachos were, unfortunately forgettable, except for those carrots. They would have easily fed a family of four though.
