Guest Reviews Wanted!

Look, you’re not reading this unless you like nachos. I’ve got a whole list of places to eat, and not enough time to do it. That’s where you come in. Hit up one of these places, take a picture, and send it to me at with a write-up.

You could be famous! It doesn’t have to be one of these either. On a vacation? Eat some nachos. Business lunch? Nachos. Planning a wedding? Nachos. You get it.

If you’re in the Harrisburg, PA area now through January 16th, these fish nachos are available to you.

“We added fish nachos, with the customer’s choice of seasoned trout or tilapia on a warm corn tortilla atop a bed of crisp nacho chips with fresh pico de gallo, fresh shredded slaw, pickled onions and topped off with light and tasty lime crema,” Fleetwood said. “It’s a new level of yum.”

Guest Review – Rosewood Tex Mex

Fresh off her takedown of El Vez, guest poster DK comes to us straight with this review of Rosewood Tex Mex. Take it away, and I hope Santa brought you a better camera for Christmas.

For me, nachos are supposed to be a gooey mess with guacamole, salsa, sour cream, cheese, and protein du jour generously portioned out.  Starting out individually portioned out, atop tortilla chips, ending in a comingled delicious mess.

Like pizza, truffle oil and the like are not permitted.

Given my unsophisticated nacho palate, these are a winner.

Solid, simple, tasty – just what I would have expected from such an unassuming store front.

I traveled out to the far suburbs with Nachojawn Jr. for a youth chess tournament one weekend. It’s not all fun and games around the Nachojawn house — we need to work our brains too.

And brains need nourishment.

During a break in play, we headed over to El Limon. Nachojawn Jr. went with his standard tacos al pastor.

I went with the pastor nachos.

The Loaded Nachos advertise cheese, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, tomatillo sauce and sour cream. And you can see the big sauteed onion sitting right there.

I liked these – you don’t expect authentic Mexican in a Malvern strip mall, but there’s a decent sized dining room and homemade salsas on the table.
